Starting Pitchers in Focus: Carlos Zambrano

After being demoted to the minors, Zambrano has excelled in August.  In seven appearances (including five starts), he is 3-0 with an ERA of 2.23 and is holding opponents to a .242 batting average. His next start is against the New York Mets at home, where Zambrano has an ERA of 2.35 in 38 1/3 innings pitched.

Zambrano is owned in 23 percent of ESPN leagues, Fantasy owners in need of a valuable starter down the stretch should add him for Week 23…
