The Bears got beat bad by the Patriots on Sunday, but the play that really showed how bad they were playing was with seven seconds left in the 2nd quarter.

Tom Brady seemed to be happy with a 27-0 lead heading into half, but he decided to throw a pass to a wide open Deion Branch for an easy touchdown.

The Bears ran cover-2 for that play, but only ran it 19 times in the entire game because they were behind by so much already. Major Wright bit on the play, Charles Tillman didn’t get the jam and that’s why the Patriots made it look so easy.

The Bears need to learn from this game, but most importantly from that play because that was just totally unacceptable. Going over film and having practice this week will be very critical to their success down the stretch.

Forgetting about that play and that game will be important against Minnesota Monday night, wherever they play the game.
