33 year old TE Desmond Clark has appeared in just five games this season for the Bears. In those five games he made only one catch for five yards and that catch came back in week 3 against the Packers.

That won’t stop him from playing this coming Sunday in the NFC Championship against the Packers.

The Bears could use three tight end packages, which would include Greg Olsen, Kellen Davis and Desmond Clark. However, Clark was active in the week 17 loss in Green Bay, but didn’t get any playing time.

With Clark announcing he will play on Twitter, WR Devin Aromashodu will likely sit out on Sunday.

Here is what Clark said on Twitter:

“Will be on the field Sunday,” Clark tweeted. “Here we go 88 fandom!!! Let’s get it on.”

I’m glad to hear Clark is playing, he is a crafty veteran, who has been pretty good for the Bears in the past. Expect him to be looked at in goal line packages on Sunday.
