New York Giants Pro Bowl defensive end Justin Tuck was not at all pleased when safety Antrel Rolle spoke out in support of New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan, while also taking a few subtle jabs at Tom Coughlin. He felt Rolle was a bit out of line and publicly noted he would speak with the first-year Giant the moment the situation presented itself.

Well, alas, the two spent the past seven days in Hawaii. And while Tuck couldn't convince Rolle to join him on a deep sea fishing trip (Sorpanos, anyone?), he did manage to corner Rolle on the practice field.

“Everything we do with the Giants needs to be a team effort, no matter what we’re talking about. So it’s very important he realizes he’s a tremendous, important part of the success of this football team,” Tuck said. “And not only on the football field but off it, too. It can be as important in what you say as in what you do.”

The vocabulary used with Rolle was most likely a bit more colorful than that, but the message was the same…and it was received.

“Me and Justin, we are on the same page. We’re both competitors and we’re both going after the same goal which is to win,” Rolle said.

Whether are not this little chat turns Rolle into Johnny Tightlips remains to be seen, but it'd probably be safe to assume he won't be questioning his head coach in the media anymore.
