With five interceptions this season, Charles Tillman increased his career total to 27, tying Bennie McRae for fourth on the Bears’ all-time list. The only players with more are Gary Fencik (38), Richie Petitbon (37) and Donnell Woolford (32).

In other news:

The Bears hired Mike Phair as their defensive line coach. He replaces Eric Washington, who followed Ron Rivera to Carolina.

Phair has spent the last six seasons with the Seattle Seahawks and the last three on their coaching staff.

He held the positions of defensive assistant (2010), assistant defensive line coach (2009) and assistant linebacker coach (2008) after serving as an area scout for the Seahawks (2005-07).
