Here are the Week One Bears power rankings from various sites around the web:

ESPN: #13 (Last year: #6)

Analysis, “A brutal schedule the first three weeks could lead to a slow start.”

CBS: #16 (Last year: #5)

Analysis, “They’ve become a trendy pick as the team that regresses in the NFC. Not so fast on that, especially if the offensive line is improved.”

Fox Sports: #12 (Last year: #4)

Analyis, “Chicago will see success if, and only if, Mike Martz sticks to the formula he found after the bye week last season and if Jay Cutler doesn’t crumble under the pressure. Those are two big ifs.”

Yahoo Sports: #17 (Last year: #7)

Analysis, ”I don’t know what’s supposed to make me think theChicago Bears are going to be better this year. Roy Williams? I expect the defense to still swarm, but the offensive line might be just as bad as it was last year. The ceiling and the floor seem pretty close together for the Bears.”

Walter Football: #12 (Last year: #16)

Analysis, “I think the Bears are really underrated. Everyone seems to think that last year was a fluke for them, but I recall a Chicago team nearly knocking off the Packers at Lambeau in Week 17. No one should be surprised if the Bears can go 11-5 again.”

FF ToolBox: #12 (Last year: #4)

Analysis, “The Bears hopefully addressed their need on the offensive line with the selection of Gabe Carimi in the first round. Don’t count out the Bears this season, but they will need some help to make the playoffs again. Jay Cutler is a solid quarterback, but is he better than Aaron Rodgers? The Bears road to the playoffs goes through Green Bay this season.”

Pro Football Talk: #12 (Last year: #7)

Analysis, “The No. 2 seed in the 2010 NFC playoff field could be heading a lot lower than this.”
