The good news is the Bears will have safety Chris Harris back for Monday night, but the bad news is they’ll still be without WR Earl Bennett or RT Gabe Carimi.

Bennett is out with a chest injury and is slowly getting back to full strength. Carimi could be back next week or the week after, the Bears will likely be cautious with his return.

TE Matt Spaeth will play after missing last week with a calf injury, and G Chris Spencer will play through a broken hand that he suffered against Carolina in Week Four.

DE Corey Wootton fractured his left hand in practice and will be out for a couple of weeks. Mario Addison will likely be active, with Nick Reed still seeing playing time in the rotation.

The Bears opponent on Monday, the Lions have a number of injuries.

Safety Eric Coleman (ankle), former Bear, WR Rashied Davis (foot) and tackle Jason Fox (foot) are all out.

CB Aaron Berry (groin), DE Lawrence Jackson (hamstring) and safety Amari Spievey (hamstring) are all questionable. Also, rookie DT Nick Fairley (foot) is questionable, but is likely going to play in his first NFL game.

It will be interesting to see how much Bears safety Chris Harris will play. He says he is healthy, but who knows if he can make it through the whole game with his hamstring maybe not at 100%.

Harris will be a big key to the Bears success on defense, they have been getting gashed by big plays with him out of the lineup.

Free safety Brandon Meriweather will play next to Harris, while Major Wright will be Harris’s backup at strong safety.
