Bears defensive end Julius Peppers wasn’t able to practice today with his sprained MCL.
It’s looking more and more doubtful that he will play on Sunday night.
He will likely try to give it a go before game time, but right now it seems like he won’t be able to take the field for the entire game.
The Bears are hopeful that Peppers will be able to play because they realize the lack of playmakers behind him.
With Peppers likely out, second-year end Corey Wootton will see playing time, along with backup Nick Reed.
Wide receiver Earl Bennett (questionable) has been out since Week Two, when he suffered a chest injury on a hit by Saints safety Roman Harper.
He was able to practice a little bit this week, but don’t expect him to play on Sunday night.
Cornerback Charles Tillman was held out of practice with a hip injury, but expect him to start on Sunday night.
The Vikings are dealing with a couple injuries as well. Wide receiver Percy Harvin (ribs) was limited in practice, but the Vikings are optimistic he’ll be able to play.
Veteran cornerback Antoine Winfield will miss the second straight week with a neck injury, so the Bears could pick on his replacement Chris Cook a lot.
Former Bears wide receiver Bernard Berrian will be back on the field for Minnesota after being benched for disciplinary reasons.
