Mark Cuban And The Case Of The SEC Up His Ass And Some Obscure Search Engine Nobody Uses Anyway

Deadspin, if you haven't heard, has put up an interesting story about Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and his shady finances. The SEC is up to his eyeballs in the civil action against former Broadcast.com CEO Mark Cuban for insider trading of some search engine called Mamma.com (now called Copernic). He allegedly offloaded 600,000 shares of stock in 2004, allowing him to avoid losing what could have been $750,000.

But not enough to avoid prison showers. But it seems that since it is a civil action, no prison time will be involved. But if more evidence can be found, it's not outside the realm of possiblity that Cuban could be facing jail time.
