    Final 2010-11 NFL Power Rankings

    by fantasyfootballmaniaxs

I hope you enjoyed the 2010 NFL season because there is a decent possibility that will be the last football you watch for quite some time. Hopefully that isn’t the case.

Hopefully the powers that be get their acts together so we can have a 2011 season. Personally, I wouldn’t mind a lockout if they lock out because the players refuse to play an 18-game schedule. That would be a disaster. Outside of the owners, I don’t think anybody wants to see that. The NFL wants to work on protecting its players, so how exactly does adding two more games reflect that?

Falcons TE Tony Gonzalez appeared on Jim Rome Is Burning and made an excellent point. He has played 14 seasons in the NFL. Had he played with an 18-game season, that adds 28 games. That is nearly an additional two NFL seasons. This is coming from a guy that has enjoyed no serious injuries in his career, missing only two games!

Every year there are matchups in the preseason that are intriguing, because they may be possible Super Bowl previews.

It is even better when those matchups take place in the third preseason game. Thursday Night was one of those nights when the Indianapolis Colts took on the Green Bay Packers. Both teams made the playoffs in 2009.

The Colts won the AFC Championship Game and lost to the New Orleans Saints 31-17 in the Super Bowl and the Packers were a wild card team that lost in the first round to the Arizona Cardinals 51-45 in overtime.
