Panther continues to build for 2009
New team manager Mower joins two-time IRL champs from Conquest
With the recent addition of Dan Wheldon in their No. 4 IndyCar Series machine, as well as the arrivals of Martin Plowman and Pippa Mann to their Firestone Indy Lights operation, Panther Racing has been heavily configuring its efforts for the 2009 season.
Now, we've got word that they have a new team manager on the IndyCar side. Chris Mower, who has served in the same capacity for Conquest Racing since 2003, is now a few days into his new job for the 2001 and 2002 champions.
This certainly looks like a team bent on winning races again and getting rid of their so-so results from the last two seasons. It's a shame we'll have to wait five months before we see if they can do it.
