Danica Patrick hits Dale Coyne Racing crewman in practice

Chuck Buckman, chief mechanic for the No. 19 Dale Coyne Racing machine of Mario Moraes, was taken to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis after the incident, which took place at 2 p.m. local time. The Indianapolis Star reports that he was awake and alert, but suffered a concussion in addition to scalp and facial cuts.

Here’s what I don’t get…Why the hell were people so close to her pit box? In addition to Buckman, Mario Andretti was standing right there as well!

Thoughts and prayers to Buckman, but let’s pray the IRL gets strict on stuff like this. This could have easily cost somebody’s life today.
