Thurston Gets A Promotion
Middle infielder Joe Thurston was called up to Boston today after Alex Cora was placed on the 15-day DL. Thurston is hitting just .255/.288/.319 but all those numbers are down from last year. Thurston has seen time in the majors while playing for the Phillies in 2006. He had very little success. Look for Jeff Natale and Gil Velasquez to see more time with Thurston’s absence.
