Welcome back, Mr. Clark
It’s the buzz of the internet- yes, there’s a trailer out for Watchmen.
Oh, right, but in more relevant news, Tony Clark is coming back to the desert.
Now, I’m a bit uncertain about this deal. First off, does the front office know we can trade for players that have never been on our roster? It seems like one out of ever three or four trades or signings is bringing someone back who we used to have- Tony Clark, B.K. Kim, Randy Johnson, Craig Counsell. There’s a whole world of players out there who have never worn a Diamondbacks jersey to consider, guys. Actually, I shouldn’t complain. At least we didn’t pick up Richie Sexson. Ugh.
But, this deal. Well, we’re familiar with Clark. He gives us another bat off the bench, and we might see him taking some starts at first, if CoJack stays in left, and we’re facing a left handed pitcher. In addition to that, I’m hoping that we’ll see some results from him off-the-field. Last season, Clark was pretty well-known as the core of our “veteran presence” and maybe that’s what’s missing this year? At least, that’s what I’m trying to tell myself. If he can help stabilize the clubhouse and get this team running smoother, great, I’m all for it.

Even TC isn’t enough to save this mess.
