Hermida Recalled and Reinstated

Following yesterday’s trade, Jeremy Hermida was recalled from AAA Albuquerque and reinstated him from the DL. He is on the active roster for the first time this season and will probably start tonight’s game in right field.

Mike Jacobs‘ status might have contributed to Hermida’s speedy return. It appears as though Jacobs might be headed to the DL with his thumb still bothering him.

Byung-Hyun Kim will join the team tonight as well but he will not play.

Kim is technically still on the DL, but once he is reinstated, my guess is Jacobs heads to the DL.

Right now it was Julio’s roster spot that Hermida took.

Kim will be of no help. The loss of Mike Jacobs will kill this team. He is so needed for them to compete.
