Marlins Today

Wait, what?

Did that really just happen?

Did the Marlins just score 17 times, coming within 3 of tying a franchise record for most runs plated in a single game on a seasonal high 22 hits and still lose?

Did Scott Olsen really just not collect a decision for a third straight start after being provided with a 9 run lead?

Did the Colorado Rockies, the worst team in the worst division in the majors, really just hit a franchise record six home runs against us?

Did Fredi Gonzalez and Mark Wiley really just go to Taylor Tanksersley, who just got back from his most recent trip to Albuquerque, instead of Doug Waechter in an attempt to stop the bleeding in the 6th?

Did Kevin Gregg really just blow his second consecutive save on a walk-off base hit?

Did Gonzalez really just make another “He’s our guy!” type remark regarding another troubled closer?

Is Joe Nelson, who has a career .210 BAA in save situations and a career .191 BAA in the 9th inning, really not being considered to take over the closing job?

Where are we going and why are we in this hand basket?
