Holy crap, kaibutsu is bringing it today.

Sucks that Ortiz would've had a grand slam in every other park in baseball history except the Polo Grounds, but at least Manny's triple (which also would've been a home run in nearly every park ever) ended up as a run since Brandon Inge can't play center.

Where was this Dice-K last year?

To be fair to Daisuke, he did post back to back Game Scores of 79 and 82 once last year. In those 2 games he struck out 17, pitcher 16 innings and only allowed 1 earned run.

Whew ... he got out of it ... I'm assuming that's it for Dice-K at 96 pitches ... good stuff tho

Baltimore is up 8-1 vs. Texas, looking to better their record to 6-1 on the young season lol. Ahh...I hope Oriole fans everywhere are savoring this while it lasts.

I guess I was wrong ... Dice-K almost took it thru 7 ... good solid start by him

meanwhile every Tigers fan out is still shaking their heads wondering why Grilli was given a chance to go over the 40 pitch mark ... Thanks Leyland ... and I thought we had bullpen problems

*knock on wood*

Very encouraging day from Dice K today. That's two in a row...

FYI....Episode 2 of the Fireside Chats Podcast is pressing tonight. It will post about 10:30 pm est.

I'd say a 380' out to right field is pretty encouraging. In any other park, that's a grand slam. He'll be fine.

It's stupid to say, but I kinda hope this continues for a while, simply because Ortiz's regression to the mean could be hilarious. Like, .400/.600/1.800 hilarious.

Sean:

Agreed. Especially if that "regression" happens during the upcoming weekend series against New York :-)
