Ortiz breaks out

David Ortiz, even in a slump, will always be clutch.

With two out and the bases loaded and the Red Sox down 1-0 Ortiz launched a grand slam over the Green Monster to give Boston a 4-1 lead and more importantly get the monkey off his back.

Dustin Pedroia also got in on the long distance act hitting a two-run homerun in the fourth inning as Boston would go onto to win 11-3.

Star of the Game: Daisuke Matsuzaka

Did not need much from Dice-K this evening, but he still picks up the award earning his fourth win of the season. 5 1/3 innings of work, only three runs allowed, two walks, and four strikeouts were enough for Matsuzaka to earn the win.

Preview of the Next Game: Keep it going

Just keep this nice streak going guys. And I do not know about you but it seems like that Japan jetlag has gone far far away. Also, Jed Lowrie keep it going as well. Another nice performance tonight by the rookie and he certainly is making his presence known offensively and defensively so far for Boston.

Was at the game tonight, I’m a HUGE Lowrie fan. Seeing him, Ellsbury and Pedroia bat 9-1-2 was the best part of the night. Peace out Lugo, Peace out Coco, Peace out uh Jose Offerman!

Youk, Pedroia, Lowrie = our winning short list, for a long time.

What a unique window of opportunity for the Sox, right now.
