4/21: Good Morning, Boston!
| Prev. Gm:
|
Texas Rangers (7-12) @ Boston Red Sox (13-7)
Kason Gabbard (1-0, 2.41) @ Clay Buchholz (0-1, 6.75) 11:05 AM EDT | Fenway Park (Boston, MA) TV: NESN RADIO: WRKO 680, SBN 1150 |
GAME NOTES: Patriots Day! I was high on Gabbard when we traded him for Eric Gagne, and he and David Murphy have yet to show any reason why they can't succeed at the big league level. I'll always hold a soft spot for him... but let's bash his brains in. Let's go for a sweep!

Looks like Buchholz is healthy enough to start. Unfortunately, now Tek has the flu.
Question: if Manny sat on his a-- for almost all of yesterday's game, why sit him again today? Great timing, considering he's bashing everything thrown his way...
Can't watch this one...darn school.

I agree Daniel, he gave himself a day off yesterday, wait to he cools off a bit then give him another day off.

@Shane
from Extra Bases:
"Coco Crisp? Not quite ready, according to Francona. Not quite good enough to play yet."

Lugo is 4-for-4? Can this be? Wow, he must be feeling Lowrie breathing down his neck...

I like to watch mdc pitch as much as I hate to see Timlin, but this was Timlin's 9th. He should have been out there to see if he can get into a groove. It sounds like hindsight now, and maybe mdc needed some work, but I cringed when they said Delcarmen would be taking the ninth.

4/21/08, 14 - 7, 1st place, hitting .300, fielding great, pitching almost there, premium bench, premium call-ups, most have had some rest, now back to business . . . Becket against Weaver at Fenway. Then the Rays in sunny Florida. Life is good.
