4/24: Justin time to Master the bigs, Son
| Prev. Gm:
|
Los Angeles Angels (13-9) @ Boston Red Sox (15-8)
Joe Saunders (3-0, 2.15) @ Justin Masterson (0-0, -.--) 1:35 PM EDT | Fenway Park (Boston, MA) TV: NESN RADIO: WRKO 680, SBN 1150 |
GAME NOTES: Saunders nabbed a rotation spot when John Lackey and Kelvim Escobar went down and has shown enough to stick around for a while. The lefty will go up against Masterson, who is making his big-league debut. I still have happy memories of his giddy interview after the Futures at Fenway game two years ago, so I hope the sinker-baller shines today. Expect him to head back to Double-A after the move and recalling another reliever or a backup infielder.

Great news to see Justin get a shot...Bad news, word is Hagadone is having Tommy John surgery as a result of his forearm injury last star...coupled with Austin Bailey apparently having a torn labrum from his first professional start a few weeks ago. Glad we have some prospect depth.

Looks like the kid can field; great play there on Figgins' bunt.

God, I love watching the pedophile hit. Such a clean swing for his frame.

Keep the torch alive radiohix. Maybe I'll run into you someday on your home turf and we can enjoy a game together.
On a lighter note, if peddy keeps swinging above his head I'm going to get cranky.

Thank goodness I didn't go to today's game....I would have charged the mound and decapitated Lopez.
Masterson is MASTERFUL!

Steven:
Actually, I think you should have gone to today's game and decapitated Lopez. That's one way to get him off the team...
