Burnett blanks Sox
A.J. Burnett knew Boston had been struggling on offense and took full advantage of the sleepless Red Sox bats hurling a shutout in the Jays 3-0 win.
Burnett improved his season record to 3-2 pitching for 7 2/3 innings, on three hits, five walks, and five strikeouts.  Burnett threw 112 pitches on the night and 68 of them landed in the strike zone.
Boston only had one extra base hit coming from Mike Lowell, his second of the season, to lead off the bottom of the second inning, but the Red Sox bats followed with two fly outs and a line out to end the inning.
Goat of the Game: Sox offense
A measly four hits on the night and only one of them being an extra base hit the Red Sox simply did not show up to play tonight.
Preview of Next Game: Bring on the Rays 
Quite frankly they handled us last series, so Boston needs to use this series as a bit of redemption for them and for us.

I want to see Shields have back to back good quality starts against this offense before I am sold.

Well, we did 2 of 3 against the Jays, with no hitting. Lester and Daisuke pitched those wins.
We are at home. As we start this revenge series, Papi and Mikey are looking good at the plate. Manny is the old Manny. Sparkplug Jacoby will lead off. Dustin, Youk and Drew are hitting the ball well, and are due for some luck. No way we only score 10 runs against their 9. Also no way Lester is going to regress to 6 runs, especially vs. Kazmir. He showed his competitiveness a few nights ago.

I'll go with...
Buchholz over Jackson in Game 1, 7-4
Shields over Beckett in Game 2, 5-2
Lester over Kazmir in Game 3, 8-6
Just a tad optimistic there about the offense...hmm...oh well.
