GAME NOTES:
Tough loss last night. Tonight, Daisuke Matsuzaka puts his undefeated record on the line against Glen Perkins, making his first major league start, and the Twins. It’s up to Daisuke to find some control and pitch like he means it! With that in mind, we should all draw inspiration from Janet Jackson:

How do you walk freaking Carlos Gomez with the bases loaded? WTF. Four more years of this shit….

  10. Tim Daloisio says:

    May 10th, 2008 at 7:55 pm

How does Papelbon lose the same Gomez last night after being ahead 1-2? These Gomez walks are killing us!

I’m stuck on Gameday…anyone know why Lowrie didn’t tag-up on Pedroia’s fly to left? Seemed deep enough based on Gameday, so I’m wondering what went wrong there.

God, I hate it when smallball backfires.

  12. Daniel Rathman says:

    May 10th, 2008 at 8:45 pm

Is Youk the only one on this team who remembers how to hit the ball? This is pathetic.

  13. Daniel Rathman says:

    May 10th, 2008 at 8:54 pm

Wait…did Coco actually just hit a homerun? Did that actually happen? This must be Gameday lying to me. There’s no way that just happened.

    COCO!

Wait…did Coco Crisp and Jed Lowrie actualy just hit back-to-back homeruns. Did that actually happen? This must be Gameday lying to me. There’s no way that just happened.

    LOWRIE!

  17. Sam says:

    May 10th, 2008 at 8:59 pm

sorry … those anonymous were me

Coco and Lowrie coming up big with back to back jacks … never thought I’d say those words lol

  18. Daniel Rathman says:

    May 10th, 2008 at 9:00 pm

I’m really glad Ellsbury didn’t smash one there. If he had, I would’ve thrown my laptop out the window for lying to me. No way those three could’ve gone back-to-back-to-back.

I am very disappointed w/ the Red Sox. Where was the silent treatment to Lowrie? He’s a rookie! lol. I will never forget when Youk hit his 1st homer and no one congratulated him. He played it perfectly to high fiving the air.

Outside of the 2nd inning … Dice-K has turned in a solid start here … I’m curious if he will come out for another inning after 96 pitches

I would like a couple more runs however … I never thought I’d say this but … for once I really don’t wanna go into the ninth with only a one run lead ya know?

Do I have to keep up Janet now for Mojo’s sake? or only when DiceK pitches?

    I need a ruling?

  26. Sam says:

    May 10th, 2008 at 9:59 pm

Thank you Paps … good game all

A solid start by Dice-K and several shots sent out to left field were enough for a good, solid, normal W in the standings … feels good

Now let’s hope Lowrie’s work is appreciated and he stays on the Major League club where he belongs

  27. Sam says:

    May 10th, 2008 at 10:03 pm

I’m thinking Dice-K must be a closet Janet fan since he pitched so well today … so I guess you kinda have to give it to him next time around … just not regularly please … lol

    Tim:

Dice-K starts only. But if we lose tomorrow, bring it back daily until the next loss.

I just can’t stand that much Janet.

can we just start lowrie, with the money we save we can afford to eat Lugo’s contract…

irrational I know, but just how I feel

First off, I enjoyed the chat at Meebo. I want to thank Tim, Daniel, and Tessie’s Dad for a great chat on baseball. I enjoyed talking Twins baseball with them. I can’t wait to do it again Sunday night and Monday night.

    Great game tonight.

This has been a good series so far.

Dice-K pitched as well as Perkins has.

I will say this about Dice-K. He can drive you nuts, but he gets out of jams. Give me a pitcher who know how to get out of jams than a pitcher who will strikeout often. I like it when a pitcher knows how to do well under adversity. You saw that in the playoffs last year. The guy is clutch.

Youkilis is a player. That HR he hit off Perkins was something else. It was impressive.

I love the fact that the Red Sox take smart at-bats at the plate. They are so well-coached. I wish the Twins would have that type of discipline at the plate.

Good win for the Red Sox.

Like I said, a team have to be so perfect in playing against the Red Sox

Dice-K pitched as well as Perkins.

I meant to write that as I used has.

    Gentelemn, here’s the deal:
I own a small hotel here in Zarzis, Tunisia (Where they used to shoot Star Wars), I offering a full week-end for free ti Lugo and His family to visit us during the ASG break, and if he accepts, I swear i’ll get him kidnapped till end of his contract, could someone forward this this offer to him, PLEASE? PLEAAAAAAAAAASE

Do we know if Lugo is a Star Wars fan? Brilliant radiohix, I’ll work the phones until it happens. ;)

This is assuming Lugo won’t make the All-Star team. :-)
