Ramirez powers Sox past Rays and drama

After the dust settled and Coco Crisp avoided a James Shield haymaker and took a licking from Jonny Gomes and Carl Crawford, Manny Ramirez drove in five runs helping beat Tampa 7-1.

Jon Lester earned the win pitching 6 1/3 innings, yielding one run, no walks, and struck out five. Lester improves to 4-3 on the season and grabs his first win since throwing his no-hitter.

Chris Carter also notched his first Major League hit in his first at-bat in the game.

Star of the Game: Coco Crisp

One, for making it seem like he was not going to charge the mound and two, for avoiding that hell of a punch by Shields. I swear he would have been dead if Shields connected on Crisp's chin. FYI, Crisp's dad was a boxer and supposedly Crisp had boxed back in his hay-day as well.

Preview of Next Game: Keep things perfect

Bartolo Colon will try to improve to 4-0 against King Felix who is 3-5 on the season. The Mariner's have been putrid of late so the Sox should be able to jump all over them in this series.

This is off topic, but I finally got a chance to go through my photos from the weekend and post them on my flickr site. Unfortunately I was in the very last row (not bad watching the game but not easy to get good pictures) and when Manny hit 500 most of my photos were blurred due to my jumping up and down. I was able to salvage a couple. If you guys get a chance check them out:

wtf was that game. I really hope everyone comes back relaxed, and uninjured, and keep racking up wins. We can't have fighting inside the team.

I still want to know what in the hell happened between Youk and Manny. Sometimes seems awfully fishy if they actually scrapped with each other and esp. without Papi or break it up.

And where was Paps in all this? I'm sure they kept him back so no one really got hurt.

If Crisp was a former boxer, it's clear why he's a baseball player now. He sucks at boxing.

He dodged a haymaker from the guy who was waiting for him, then got a punch in before being dragged down from behind. Not too shabby.

Now to face the game with a hurt Papi, Jacoby, Daisuke. It's good to know we have deep, proven reserves of MLB ready power hitting and pitching. Thanks MiLB.

#5...an amazing feign to avoid a punch and then weak/lame counter punch...I've paid $50 to watch Floyd Mayweather Jr. do that (with the hope someone will knock his ass out...outside of possibly Cotto I have given up)
