Youkilis' walk-off HR negates series sweep

Kevin Youkilis' homers twice, but the most important one came in the bottom of the 13th inning.

The two-run walk-off homer lifted the Boston Red Sox over the St. Louis Cardinals 5-3.

It was Youkilis' 13th home run of the season.

Star of the Game: Youk

Two home runs, one for a walk-off gets him the nod here.  I would have to say though that if Boston lost this one Paps would be on the hook for goat of the game.  Or maybe the Sox offense who failed to bring three runners home in the 10th, 11th, and 12th who had doubled in the inning.

Next Game: Dan Haren vs. Josh Beckett

I predicted these two guys above would be the Cy Young Award winners for each league this year.  Way to be guys for making me look awful.  Maybe tonight will be a good pitching match up at least.

How about that play-at-the-plate from Drew to Tek in 12th!? Drew saving runs with his glove as well. Can he do no wrong in June?

No wrong in June. Let's hope he can continue at a good clip through July and August.

I still like the sound of Becket and Haren in the same rotation. Tonite closes out the first half for these two, so it should be a battle. C'mon Josh. We need a big ending.

Yeah, let us hope that Drew keeps it together throughout the rest of the season.
