Tim Wakefield yielded two hits over seven runs out dueling Randy Johnson for his fifth win of the season.
Dustin Pedroia had three hits and Kevin Cash hit a three-run homer in the eighth to put the game away.

A solid outing going deep into the game gets the nod here. Jonathan Papelbon earned his 23 save of the season retiring one in the ninth.

Tonight I think will be a better start for Dice-K. Do not give up the long ball to the short porch in left and he will be a o.k.
