BOS 1, MIN 0: Manny notches game winner
Until the bottom of the eighth inning, Daisuke Matsuzaka and Scott Baker kept both offenses at bay.  Manny Ramirez provided the game winner on an RBI single and Jonathan Papelbon shut the Twins down in the ninth for his 26th save of the season.
Star of the Game: Dice-K or Tek
Give Dice-K credit for getting out of all those jams unscathed and give some credit to Tek for calling the right pitches as well.
Next Game:  Keep the momentum
A sweep into the All-Star break would be rather nice.

It's going to be midnight. I am still wondering why in the world you use Brian Bass in a scoreless game. Bass has not pitched in awhile, and to use him in that role is putting him in a position to fail. It was easy to second-guess tonight.

Tek! I concur. You forgot to mention all defensive gems are also coming from the right pitches Tek called.

Wait, Okajima gets us out of a jam, Papelbon blows away everybody in the 9th 1-2-3, Manny hits a game winner? Is it 2007 again already?

Possibly...or it's just that we're playing at Fenway.
