BOS 8, TOR 4: Homers pace Sox

Dustin Pedroia and Jason Varitek both homered in Boston's 8-4 win over the Toronto Blue Jays while Paul Byrd picked up the win over 6 innings pitched.

Byrd gave up six hits, four runs (all earned), two walks, and four strikeouts.

Star of the Game: Varitek

Can we say he is certainly turning it around now? I hope so.  He has a five game hitting streak.

Next Game: Does Lester =

An auto win at this point?  Good question here but seriously he has been so dominant of late what else would you expect from the lethal lefty.

I don't know if Tek will ever hit above .240, but I think he may be finally figuring out that he needs to cheat more on fastballs and wait for breaking balls that he can catch up to.
