BOS 7, NYY 3: Sox drop Yanks
Boston can play spoiler in this three game set against the New York Yankees and in game one they did just that taking it 7-3.
Jason Bay and David Ortiz each had two hits in the win with Bay also notching two RBI's
Tim Wakefield picked up the win over 5 innings and Jonathan Papelbon earned his 34th save of the season.
Star of the Game: Bullpen  
The bullpen worked 4 strong innings to wrap up the win and Justin Masterson got MDC out of a nice jam with an inning ending double play against Alex Rodriguez.

Looking forward to Byrd and Pauley rising to the occasion. Against Ponson, this could be a night of big hits for the heart of the lineup. If the Sox and Toronto both win tonight, it's a whole new season.
