POLL: Let's get the little one's nickname straight
Dustin Pedroia needs some standardization to his nickname if he's going to be a real MVP candidate. What nickname should we bestow upon him?
- D-Ped
- Pedey
- Pedro
- Destroia
- Lil Papi
- Mighty Mouse
Oh...and by the way....Red Sox Nation was officially wearing pinstripes and not liking it this week.

On a loosely related note, Carlos Quentin is going to have surgery on his wrist, and may miss the rest of the regular season. That gives Dustin's MVP chances a nice boost...

Let's not forget that Youk was getting some mild MVP talk before Pedroia went all Superman in the number 4 spot. This could be a fun competition.

Traitors? Nope, just hoping the Yanks had a genetic memory of winning, just a short spurt, against the Rays. Until that 9th inning last night, I thought you were a little paranoid. Now, I'm glad they only won two.
Shane, after Youk's season long gold glove performance at 1st and 3rd, leading the team in so many offensive categories, hitting Manny's #'s when Manny left (instead of the much anticipated swoon), he was the prime mover in keeping us in contention. Before getting hurt, he was heading for an easy .320BA, 30HR, 120RBI and, in my opinion, was a better candidate than Josh Hamilton or Carlos Quentin. Let's see what happens when he comes back. To me, Youk and Dusty are AL Co-MVP's.

Living here in Central Florida I'm rooting for both the Rays and Red Sox to make the playoffs, in whatever order. I cannot wear pinstripes unless it's necessary for the Red Sox to make the playoffs at all, which isn't the case
