Snakes seek Haren
According the East Valley Tribune, the Arizona Diamondbacks have offered Carlos Gonzalez, Emilion Bonifacio, and Brett Anderson to the Oakland Athletics’ for Dan Haren. A source within MLB has confirmed that 2006 #1 pick Max Scherzer is not part of the package offered to GM Billy Beane.
Carlos Gonzalez is considered the key part of the deal; he has not appeared in a game for his Venezuelan winter league in over a week.
