Padres close to getting RP

The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that the Padres are close to acquiring a reliever.

San Diego’s bullpen has been very disappointing this year compared to how it was in 2007. Right now, they’re twenty-sixth in the league with a 4.36 ERA. Along with that dismal offense, the Padres are really struggling as a team.

So, I’m not exactly sure who they’ll be acquiring. It’s probably not someone too good, as they might just be looking for a reliever to replace Joe Thatcher, who has been horrendous so far. Look for something to happen today or tomorrow.
