A-Rod out this week
Unfortunately for the Yankees, it looks like Alex Rodriguez won’t be able to play this week, according to ESPN.com. The organization was hopeful that his recovery from a strained right quadriceps would progress enough to where he could play against the Mets this weekend, but it won’t be happening. They don’t want to risk a more serious injury, which is probably the smart thing to do with it.
With Wilson Betemit also on the DL, Morgan Ensberg should get most starts at third base.
