Athletics Designate Calero
It looks like reliever Kiko Calero’s time in Oakland is done, as the Athletics have chosen to designate the 33-year old right hander for assignment. The move was made as reliever Santiago Casilla is returing to the team.
Kiko has been hurt quite a bit lately, starting this season on the DL with a torn rotator cuff, but has been a strong reliever and could help some clubs. In five apperances this year, Calero is boasting a 3.86 ERA in limited duties.
