We’re talking playoffs, how silly is that?
The 103-94 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday was something to smirk about. Drew Gooden gave a 31 point, 16 rebound performance and Jim Boylan dropped the P word again. It sounded good at the time because the Bulls moved themselves only 2 games behind the current 8th spot the Hawks own. The slim hope that Boylan has remains alive. Than something like tonight happens.
I watched as the Philadelphia 76ers ran a lay-up line on the Bulls in a 121-99 rout. Andre Miller just missed a triple-double with 9 points, 18 assists and 8 rebounds. Andre Igoudala put on a highlight reel in the first quarter and finished with 21 points and 9 assists. Apparently there was no scouting of Louis Williams because he was left wide open all game. He finished with 23 points on 5-6 shooting from deep and rookie Thaddeaus Young was everywhere on offense, scoring 20 of his own.
What was the problem? The Bulls left their legs in Chicago and got outran, as Philly outscored them 30-2 on fastbreak points. They were down by as many as 26 and never once looked interested in playing. They made a late run to cut the deficit to 8, but the Bulls have trouble holding on to fourth quarter leads, so for them to come from behind and win this one would have been THE VICTORY of the season.
Kirk Hinrich was left open during most of the game and had 18 points and 6 assists. Thabo Sefolosha looked real impressive, even though he is playing with a groin injury. He has 20 points, but what impressed me is he is hitting those shots he was missing earlier in the season. He hit 4-5 from three point land tonight. The only other bright spot would be Andres Nocioni shaking out of a slump with 16 points. As for the rest of the player’s, there games didn’t arrive at the Wachovia Center. The player’s not listed, went 13-50 from the field.
There was a Chris Duhon sighting, but it lasted about as long as the Bulls run to chip into the Philadelphia onslaught. How many games are left in this season? 11 and the next game is against at Atlanta against those Hawks. Hopefully, the games will be there and the P word will be left where it belongs.
Draft watch: I know the Bulls don’t need another guard anytime soon, but consider this; How may times do you see a Bulls guard break down a defense, get to the rim, either for a score or to get to the free-throw line?………………… Took awhile didn’t it? Exactly. I watched this young man play twice this year and both times I was impressed. Who am I talking about? I’ll let you view the clip……………………………… and that’s only high school. He has that extra gear and he gets to the line. Don’t believe me, take a look at his stats this year. Impressive for a combo guard in his first year.
That’s just a thought. He would be an improvement from the shoot only mentality, these guards have. I’ll leave you with this.

WE KEEPING POSTSEASON HOPES ALIVE MAKE NO SENSE NOW because WE are 3 GAMES OUT of that 8TH SPOT in the EAST.The ONLY THING WE can HOPE for NOW is getting a TOP 5 PICK in the LOTTERY and STEALING A QUALITY STAR SIMILIAR to TIM DUNCAN,SCOTTIE PIPPEN,or SHAQ.MAN would’nt it be SOMETHING if WE can STEAL a QUALITY STAR in the DRAFT TOTALLY SIMILIAR to THOSE 3.

SPEAKING of the LOTTERY OUR BOYS are the 9TH WORST TEAM so WE have a TOTALLY GREAT CHANCE at GETTING OUR HANDS at a TOP 10 QUALITY STAR in the DRAFT if not a TOP 5.

If we can get into the top part of the draft, I hope that John Paxson can draft a good player that can contribute to this team right away.

Well CHRIS OUR BOYS just NEED TRUE QUALITY LEADERSHIP WHETHER it’s through the DRAFT or a CURRENT QUALITY LEADER from another team through FREE AGENCY like DIRK NOWITSKI if HE is a FREE AGENT and wants out of dallas or EVEN DWAYNE WADE if he wants out of miami.CHRIS OUR BOYS would have the NBA TITLE in 08 with one of those 2 STARS IN THE MIX ALONG WITH A QUALITY DRAFT PICK,BEWARE OF THE BULLS IN 08 if one of those 2 BAD BOYS SIGN WITH OUR TEAM.

Unfortunately, the Bulls are will be unwilling to spend Mark cuban money when Dirk become available. I don’t see him fitting in good here anyway, Dwyane Wade doesn’t become a free agent until 2010. so we’ll have to bide our time.
John Paxson should be doing the Pat Riley thing and going to scout these tournament games instead of pushing for the playoffs. The player’s body languages tell they want this season to be over in the worst way but the Jim Boylan insists on making the playoffs, maybe because he feels it will help land him the coaching position for next year.
The Bulls should be evluating who will be back next year.
