Bull Riding

Benny The Bull takes aim

When I awoke this morning, I was prepared to write about how the Bulls have to find someway to contain LeBron James-he is averaging 38 points against them- but I got an interesting message that told of Bulls mascot Bennie, firing T-shirts out of a cannon at Boston Celtics forwards James Posey and Kevin Garnett. I thought, this may have some new strategy to take out the opposing player’s, or maybe Benny was having some innocent fun, two things are for sure in this incident and that’s Posey was scared and Garnett was heated.

“I felt threatened,” Posey said, according to the Boston Globe. “They already don’t like me here already.” Posey is most famous for incidents such as this, this and even broke Tyrus Thomas nose for good measure. Using “Don’t like me” is an understatement. He goes on to say “I don’t feel safe,” Posey continued. “The T-shirts were fired out of that gun or whatever. I feel a little sore in one spot. I might have to get treatment. First, I thought it was a teammate just tapping me. But then I looked down and there were  T-shirts and there were only two down there. Let’s see how the league handles this.” What did Garnett have to say about the whole thing? “We exchanged words.” If you have ever seen Garnett play, than you know those words were not along the lines of, “Please, don’t do that to me.”

Benny the Bulls seems to like confrontations and I’m wondering if his off the court and now, on the court behavior is becoming a distraction for this club. He was such a positive in the Dynasty days.

Ah yes, the game. Chicago is in Cleveland and you just hope that with 8 games left on the schedule, you can have some type of positives going into next season. Cleveland is 42-33 and coming off a 118-114 road win against the Charlotte Bobcats. Can someone step up to the challenge and guard LeBron James. We’ll see tonight on TNT.

Those boston celtics are just going to start their hatred towards our Bulls over a mascot, man how low is that?but we Bulls fans have always been Bulls fans,so we have always been down with other teams hating our guts and souls, just like those new york knicks and those detroit pistons used to hate the letters C and B back in the 90’s.And if those celtics want to hate the boys from the windy city we are so down with that and they are not even in the central division.

I was surprised they came back from behind. I do have a feeling, we will see the Bulls best basketball during these last games.

We can enhance our morale and confidence with this win heading into 08-09.Winning against a quality team like Cleveland, this win is something special heading into the offseason and retooling into a title contender for this young talented Bulls team.Im looking forward to seeing us contending for an NBA title next season after a total dissapointment in 07-08.Let’s roll Chicago.
