What If?
The theme in the 2008 NBA playoffs should be changed from “There Can Only Be One” to “Thank God We’re Home.!” It seems that none of the elite teams can win on the road. The Boston Celtics had the best road record in the NBA at 31-10 but have been taken to the limit in the first round against the 8th seed Atlanta Hawks and now find themselves in a similar situation in the second round against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Even the San Antonio Spurs haven’t been able to contain the New Orleans Hornets at home, but both teams have been routed on the others home-court.
With the struggles of the Boston Celtics on the road, I began wondering what would have happened if the Bulls did make that 8th seed in the Eastern Conference. Would they have been able to to take the Boston Celtics to seven games? No doubt the Chicago crowd would have been very much a factor with its energy level, but would Jim Boylan be able to gain control over a team that seem to have lost its direction during the beginning of the season?

I hope we get lucky and land a top-2 pick but that may be asking for too much.
