Rackin’ Up the Links 11/14

From the MVN Basketball Department:

Around the NBA writing community:

  • The Big Lead assures the pessimists that the NBA’s ratings are doing quite well, although the same cannot be said for one former Coney Island point guard.
  • Hardwood Paroxysm’s Matt has learned something very intriguing about ESPN and the blogosphere.
  • 20 Second Timeout’s David Friedman takes an early look at the statistical leader boards and is intrigued by what he sees.
  • And finally, yes, we’re linking to Blog-a-Bull again. Matt has yet another amusing (but also quite on point) piece on Scott Skiles-related issues in Chicago. Besides the room it has afforded the Celts to begin sneaking away from the pack in the East, I’m not sure I can think of a better consequence to the Bulls’ slow start than the increasing level of amusement generated by Matt’s posts. It has been thoroughly enjoyable. Normally, I would wrap this unabashed bit of gushing up with a hip phrase like “game recognizes game” but that would imply a) that we’re athletes of some sort, b) that I’m hip and c) that I have some measure of game to speak of, none of which is actually the case. So instead, we’ll settle for some old-fashioned kudos. Much respect, Matt.
