Lue signs with Bucks
Tyronn Lue has agreed with the Bucks on a two-year deal worth $3.9 million, according to the East Valley Tribune.
Last year with the Hawks and Mavs, Lue averaged 5.8 points a game, more than 3 points below his career average. The thirty-one year old has always been a backup, but is actually capable of starting games.
In fact, he might have even started for the Heat, which kind of shows you how dismal their point guard situation is. However, he came to Milwaukee because they were willing to give him more money. It was pretty much the same story for the Suns, except he would have backed-up Steve Nash, getting some occasional starts.
With the Bucks, he won’t see much action with both Mo Williams and Ramon Sessions ahead of him at the point. Still, he could help fill some minutes and provide quick bursts of energy when Williams and/or Sessions tire, and will give them insurance in the case of an injury.
The Suns are now getting pretty desperate to find help at the position, with the problem being that they aren’t able to give a player anything above the league minimum because of financial issues. They’ll just have to keep on looking, I guess, and hope that a player gets desperate.
