Down Goes Boston!

If you would have told me that the Wizards would score 85 points, shoot 36% from the field, hit just 2 of 18 3-pointers and Butler and Jamison would combine to score 26 points, I would have told you it was a long night at Verizon Center against the NBA’s best.

Well, DOWN GOES BOSTON!

Unbelieveably, the Wizards beat the Celtics thanks to a rebounding dominance of 49-30 and a huge 4th quarter.  I was not able to watch the game, had to follow on the internet, but it looked like Deshawn Stevenson was the hero with 19 points.

If anyone out there watched or was in attendance, please let me know what the keys to the game were.  I’m interested to see what it was that downed the Celtics.   Regardless, this is a big win and a statement that we can, indeed, play with the big boys.

I’m a bit nervous about the second half of the back to back games on Monday night in Beantown, but the Wiz are playing with house money now!

Be nervous later. A good win is a good win. :)

    Wow, I was wrong.

Wizards did a good job. Boston need to win more against good teams.

The Wiz beat Boston with excellent defense — someone should tell Charles Barkley. I’m totally astonished by how well they’re defending this year. Even Jamison is playing defense this year. AD made the big 3, but just a minute or so earlier, Jamison and Caron hit huge shots to get the the deficit down from 7 or 8 to 2.

Great to hear about the defense. We’ve been waiting SO LONG! I will be watching tonight in the rematch. I expect the Celtics to come out on fire, so it’ll be interesting to see if the Wiz battle or rest on their laurels and be happy with one win against the NBA’s best.

If only I wasn’t so preoccupied with Arenas’ return or not…
