Bengals Lose Toeaina

The Bengals lost the rights to practice squad DT Matt Toeaina when the Bears signed him to their 53 man roster.  Toeaina was the team’s 6th round pick in 2007 and his short Bengals career was highlighted by a pre-season touchdown.  The loss of a young player such as Toeaina is disappointing considering the Bengals are carrying active players such as T Willie Anderson whose 2007 season’s are likely over.  On the plus side, the departure of Toeaina opens a place on the practice squad for another player.  Additionally, should there be a practice squad player on another team they would want to look at, IRing a player such as Anderson would allow them the opportunity to poach a player off another practice squad.
