Bills’ Lynch featured at Super Bowl party
Some of you may remember me posting a link to Marshawn Lynch’s blog over at Yardbarker earlier in the season.
Well Yardbarker hosted a Super Bowl party Tuesday, and MJD from Yahoo! Sports did a story on it.
The players featured at the event were Donovan McNabb and Marshawn. It was a decent write-up about the party, but what I found most interesting and relevant were MJD’s thoughts on Lynch.
We’ve learned a bit about him from his Yarkbarker blog, press conferences, his feature with Kenny Mayne and the game he was mic’d up for. He just seems like a fun guy to be around.
Here are some excerpts from MJD’s article:
“At no point did it appear like Marshawn Lynch was not having the time of his life. I think he’s the kind of guy you could put in an Iraqi prison cell, and as long as he had someone there to talk to, he’d be just fine. He’s a walking one-man party.”
Seriously, I just want to be Marshawn Lynch for a day. I saw him back in the corner of the deck at one point, just dancing with one of the Yardbarker guys, to no music whatsoever. Just celebrating the fact that he has no reason not to celebrate.
I still find it amazing that Buffalo has a player with this much character. He seems destined to be the next face of the NFL like Chad Johnson, Terrell Owens, Warren Sapp, Hines Ward and the other players that just seem to love the game.
