Bills picks from Draft101’s seven-round mock draft
MVN’s Bengals writer Chris Maier also staffs a draft-devoted site over at Draft101.com. On Saturday, they completed a seven round mock draft. They split the teams by conference and made the decisions based on team need and best pick available. In other words, this may be the most comprehensive and well thought out mock on the net right now.
I’m going to list out the picks they have for Buffalo.
First round, No. 11 - CB Leodis McKelvin, Troy
Second Round, No. 10 - WR Malcolm Kelly, Oklahoma
Third Round, No. 8 - TE John Carlson, Notre Dame
Fourth Round, No. 15 - G Robert Felton, Arkansas
Fourth Round, No. 33 - DE Kenny Iwebema, Iowa
Fifth Round, No. 8 - LB Ali Highsmith, LSU
Fifth Round, No. 12 - WR Keenan Burton, Kentucky
Sixth Round, No. 13 - DT James McClinton, Kansas
Seventh Round, No. 12 - QB Bernard Morris, Marshall
Seventh Round, No. 17 - OT Geoff Schwartz, Oregon
Seventh Round, No. 44 - CB Darnell Terrell, Missouri
I think this would be a great turnout for Buffalo. I personally prefer Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie in the first round, since he was available. However, McKelvin is going to be a solid starting corner.
Kelly certainly is a realistic pick in round two after he ran the slow forty time. They have Limas Sweed, Devin Thomas, Desean Jackson and Early Doucet all of the board before our second pick. However, I would pick James Hardy there. I really like the Highsmith pick. as he used to be rated a lot higher.
I’m curious to see what you guys think of their work. DRC is currently leading our new poll.
