Bills rookies choose numbers

For those of you looking to get a new Buffalo Bills jersey, the rookies selected over the weekend have chosen their numbers.

First round pick Leodis McKelvin claimed No. 28, which was last worn by running back Anthony Thomas. If you picked up a cheap Thomas jersey, you could change the nameplate to save yourself some money.

Second round pick James Hardy claimed No. 81, the number Peerless Price used the past two seasons. Hopefully, he has a bit more success than Price.

Third round pick Chris Ellis chose No. 93, last used by Anthony Hargrove. However, Hargrove is now suspended for a full year and isn’t under contract.

Xavier Omon is going with No. 25, previously used by Kiwaukee Thomas. Kennard Cox takes No. 38, last worn by Jerametrius Butler. Tight end Derek fine has been assigned No. 86, last worn by Michael Gaines.

Wide receiver Steve Johnson took No. 13. Cornerback Reggie Corner will wear No. 27, Alvin Bowen gets No. 50 and Demetrius Butler is No. 77.

Thanks for checking in Chris. We’ve had several Xavier Omon supporters stop by already. I’m now excited to see what he can do on the field

Whoa Carlos, slow down brother no need for those types of comments. I’m sure Dan needs all of us to keep coming to this blog.

Anyway Dan I love the #’s 50 and 81. I can’t for the life of me figure out why anybody would take 13 outside of a qb. Also wouldn’t it be great if Mckelvin picked #37? I don’t know who has it now but I’m sure they could have worked something out.

I think Johnson took 13 because all the other 80’s must be taken….

    80 Schouman
    81 Hardy
    82 Reed
    83 Evans
    84 Royal
    85 KE…that’s sacred
    86 Fine
    87
    88 Massaquoi
    89 Court Andereson

    Nevermind…87 is free.

Why would McKelvin 37 be great? G. Wilson has it now. I’m missing something…

He must be, it’s all good though-love the support don’t hate it baby! He should of said,”# 86 baby, yeah, get me one those FINE looking jerseys right now sugertoots!” Well in any case, Coiner(Bills TE coach) seems to really be high on this kid, I’ve been questioning the pick as the only one in the draft I don’t agree with, but they know more about the kid then I do so I guess we’ll have to wait and see if he’s the “Football Player” as Coiner stated, that they all think he is. Studesville seemed pretty pleased with Amon though, and I’ve been hearing really good things about the kid- he may just win our #3 spot, and beat out Wright. Sorry Wright, but your gonna have to start bringing your A game.
