Browns look to plug Pittspuke!
“Pittspuke.” It just flows from the tongue. While saying it you can nearly feel the “nastiness” that may linger in your body suddenly is expunged. Just the sound of that word sounds both so definitive and vile to most Pittsburgh women that they would in fact be preferred to be called the dreaded c-word.
It’s not happening you dirty bitches. I and the Browns Backers (along with Sienna Miller) are loud, proud, and we’re not taking it anymore. This weekend the losing streak is going to end…hopefully.
Naturally, that last statement carries a lot bigger bark than its bite. Coming into Sunday, the Steelers have won eight straight meetings. What has been even worse is the fact that more than couple of those games has resembled an absolute abortion from a Browns fan’s perspective. The combined score of those eight contests computes to: 231 – 94.
HOWEVA, one thing the Brownies have going for themselves this weekend is the confidence of a three game winning streak as well as the knowledge that they are not the same team that Pittspuke saw in the season’s opening week. That should translate into an improved effort on the field in itself. The real lingering question though is just how improved will they look Sunday?
Naturally, the Steelers are once again among the league’s best in terms of running the football (2nd) and are a total biotch on the defense. In fact, the defense is playing so well that they rank first in the league both against the pass and in total points allowed. Those just happen to be the Browns biggest strengths this year to date.
I wouldn’t expect the Browns to put a cease and desist order on their passing attack based on the Steelers defensive rankings. My thinking is based on the “look at who Pittspuke has played” theory. So far the best QB’s they’ve faced are Carson Palmer and Matt Hasselbeck. Don’t get me wrong, they are both good QB’s, but both are literally lining up behind offensive lines that are made out of toilet paper. The rest of the QB bunch features the likes of Alex Smith, Charlie Frye, Matt Leinart, Jay Cutler, and Steve McNair. In other words, this defense has benefited from the schedule they’ve been handed so far.
I’m not saying this offense is gonna put up 500 yards of offense or anything. I am saying they will look like a much improved team from the bunch seen in week one. Derek Anderson will throw and throw often. I expect good days from both Braylon Edwards and Kellen Winslow. Unfortunately, none of these guys can stop an opposing team’s ground game.
This game is simply going to come down to whether the Browns defense can slow down slick Willie Parker. If he’s held to about 100 yards or less, then it’s anybody’s game. If he runs wild like he has against the Browns then this game will be no different than any in the past 5 years.
PREDICTION: Browns 31 – Steelers 27 (Editor’s Note: You’re damn right it’s a homer pick! Screw you Pittspuke!!!)

AT THE TOP OF YOUR ARTICLE, YOU SAY,’ THE BROWNS ARE GONNA END THE LOSING STREAK,’, AND WHEN I READ THAT I WAS CONVINCED MYSELF, YOU HAD ME BELIEVING THAT THE BROWNS ARE GONNA FINALLY WIN IN PITTSBURGH AND STOP THE BLEEDING. KUDOS TO YOU PROUD FAN OF THE BROWNS,,,,,BUT THEN I READ FURTHER, AND YOUR LAST WORD CONNECTED TO THAT THOUGHT, WAS ” HOPEFULLY”, LIKE YOU WEREN’T REALLY SURE OF YOURSELF, WHICH EFFECTED MY VERY THOUGHTS JUST SECONDS BEFORE,, MAN YOU REALLY HAD ME GOING, HOOK LINE AND SINKER, YOU REALLY HAD ME BELIEVING THET MY STEELERS WERE REALLY GONNA LOSE TO AN UP AND COMING CLEVELAND BROWNS TEAM. IN REALITY THOUGH, THE BROWNS ARE GONNA FALL BACK TO EARTH, AND REALIZE WHO THE BETTER TEAM IS, AND THAT IS THE ONE WHO HAS DOMINATED THE BROWNS FOR OVER 15 YEARS. SO, GO BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD, AND REFIGURE THE X’S. AND O’S, CAUSE THIS SUNDAY AIN’T GONNA BE WHAT YOU THOUGHT WE WERE. STEELERS 41 BROWNS 17. HERE WE GO STEELERS HERE WEGO!

THE STEELERS WEREN’T HANDED A SCHEDULE OF THIER LIKING. THIS SCHEDULE IS BASED ON THIER 2006 STANDING OF 8-8, MUCH LIKE THE BROWNS ARE HAND A SCHEDULE ON THIER STANDING OF I THINK 5-11! !!!!!! ALL TEAMS START OUT THE SAME 0-0 WHEN THE SEASON STARTS, ITS WHAT TEAMS DO IN THE OFFSEASON THAT MAKE OR BREAK THEM. YOU SHOULD REALLY BE THANKFUL THAT CHARLIE FRY HAD THE GAME HE HAD AGAINST PITTSBURGH THE FIRST GO ROUND, OR YOU JUST MIGHT BE LOOKING AT 3-5. THE BROWNS HAVEN’T PLAYED ANY HIGH CALIBER TEAMS, BUT THAT DOESN’T MEAN THAT THE BROWNS AREN’T GOOD ENOUGH TO BE A 5-3 TEAM, IT JUST MEANS EVERYONE IS PLAYING AT THIER LEVEL OF COMFORT. LOOK YOURSELF IN THE MIRROR BEFORE YOU SAY THIS TEAM OR THAT TEAM HASN’T PLAYED ANYONE, THATS HOGCRAP, ALL NFL TEAMS ARE PLAYING THIER SCHEDULE BASED ON THE PREVIOUS YEAR! HAVE A GREAT DAY, GOOD LUCK , BUT I SPECK THE STEELERS WILL WHIP UP ON YOUR BROWN BUTTS AS USUAL, 41-17 I THINK WILL BE THE OUTCOME.

THE BROWNIES FALL TO EARTH SUNDAY. GRANTED, THEY ARE PLAYING BETTER OFFENSIVELY BUT WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE DEFENSE HAS TO TAKE THE FIELD? I ALSO AGREE WE HAVE HAD A WEAK SCHEDULE MUCH THE SAME AS YOU. THE SEA CHICKENS TOOK YOU TO OVERTIME!!!!!!!THEY DIDN’T SCORE ON US. DON’T COMPARE CLEVELAND WOMEN TO THE WOMEN OF THE BURGH, I FLEW INTO CLEVELAND AND YOU BOYS LIKE YOUR GIRLS THICK DON’T YOU? A HUMAN HEAD WOULD BE A NICE TOUCH AS WELL. THE GIRLS OF THE BURGH KNOW THEIR FOOTBALL TO SO GO BACK TO YOUR MADDEN 2000 AND MAYBE THE BROWNIES WIN ON THAT. THE REAL GAME WILL BE DECIDED ON THE FIELD 41 -17 STEELERS.

Good game Brownies. Really it was. Cleaning out my old steeler stuff I found a 60 minute men shirt. I will give it to my lost team mate who you have to admire, he has stuck with the browns through thick and thin. There is a changing of the guard in our division, all the experts got it wrong though, steelers and brownies have lifted their game and the bungles and red hens have fallen and can’t get up. I hope we do see you again in the playoffs but it is doubtful. If we do by chance, kick the damn ball out of bounds!!!!!!

Pittspuke, Shittsburgh, etc.
Either way you look at it, that town has a bunch of unemployed ex-steel workers with unibrows. Enjoy the win you punks. You got lucky and if you don’t see this Browns team on the verge of taking over in the near future, then you are in denial.

oh yeah, we got so lucky!
we got lucky that we have a team that ACTUALLY is good. it was pretty pitiful that all you little brownies fans actually thought you had a chance against the steelers.
and incase you didn’t hear the announcers’ comments after the game… they said the steelers could be the second best team in the nfl, behind the patriots.
and you think you had a chance.. psht..

I am a cleveland fan here in pittsburgh and i was at the game yesterday. it was heartbreaking but congrats to the steelers, they earned. romeo kind of blew it in the end but you can’t use “only if” statements in the NFL.
it was worth the trip down to the game, however, to hear the self annointed “best fans in football” booing their team in the second quarter. when the browns were up 21-6 the steelers fans:
1. were silent as church on sunday
2. were booing the steelers
3. were blaming the refs for not giving them any calls.
those things haven’t happened in this series in a long time and it shows that steelers fans are the same as any other fan. they cheer like hell when they are winning and they turn on their team in a second when they are losing.
and i was AT THE GAME so please don’t try to tell me different.
man, the browns have to upgrade their front 7 in the offseason.

It was a better job by clev for sure. By no means can the Steelers and their fans (myself included) say this was a one sided game. Now for the but…Clev must improve the defense the Steelers offense moved the ball all day and sans two easy drives (one pick, one long kickoff return), and another kickoff return for a touchdown, the Clev offense did little. I mean the offense was the strength of the team coming into the game and got ZERO points in the second half while the defense predictably couldn’t stop the Steelers that entire half.
You may still make the playoffs, on offensive ability Clev, but you won’t win even one game with that defense in the playoffs.
