Same old Arizona Cardinal Fans
Coming off of a much needed bye week the Cardinals are fresh and ready to go against the 4-4 Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Kurt Warner, Anquan Boldin, Levi Brown, Mike Gandy and Karlos Dansby all had time to heal injuries. My guess is Gandy and Dansby will still be listed as questionable and the others listed as probable. A full strength O-line will improve Warner’s play dramatically, we all know Kurt isn’t the best scrambler in the league so a little more time in the pocket goes a long way for the NFL’s most accurate quarterback. Since Kurt has taken over the O-line has been injured and mixed around. Although the line has done a good job, they will improve a lot when they have Gandy back at left tackle and Levi back at right tackle.I thought this was funny…
I’ve talked to some Cardinal fans and gone on some Arizona Cardinal message boards and there are actually people that want Tim Rattay to play over Kurt Warner! Yes, people can be that stupid. I shouldn’t say stupid, maybe they just don’t know much about football. It’s okay though I forgive their lack of knowledge, I’ll admit I don’t know everything about everything either. But come on, do I seriously even have to make the argument for why Kurt should be starting over Tim Rattay? Tim is a good guy to have as a back up quarterback and I’m glad the Cardinals picked him up. But to try and make an argument that he should be playing over Kurt right now is ridiculous. Kurt will have his turnovers just like every other quarterback in the NFL. The difference between Warner and lots of quarterbacks in this league (including Rattay) is he will put the ball in the end zone. Everyone has turnovers but not everyone can put points on the board and Kurt does that just as good as anyone.
Can I remind some of you that Kurt played with torn ligaments in his elbow last week. Yes, I know it was in his non throwing arm but mentally that’s incredibly tough to continue playing knowing 300 pound defensive linemen are trying to tear those ligaments even more. Warner had to hand the ball off with his right arm even when the plays called for him using his left arm. How many quarterbacks in history have ever done that? not many I’m sure. I played enough quarterback in my youth days to tell not having your left arm does matter in your mechanics. It changes everything when your taking a snap or even protecting the ball. When you throw the ball your left arm is important for your follow through. I’m not saying it’s impossible but it’s not easy at all.
Kurt could and should have been out a few weeks but he played through the injury and almost led his team to a win. Unless Kurt is missing his right arm don’t take him off the field.

I have an issue with this article. You are generalizing all fans based on the opinion of the few. Same old people trying to hold Cards fans down. Boo, you can’t come up with something better. How about how fans of the Bucs should fear the Cardinals.

Nick, I will have something up later this week about how the Bucs should fear the Cards but I had a bone to pick with those people saying Warner isn’t cutting it and they need Rattay. Obvisouly this wasn’t towards all Cards fans but more than a handful have said maybe we should consider benching Kurt like there is some other better option. There isn’t right now, Kurt has thrown the ball very well and to think Tim Rattay would do better is just stupid. thats all my point was. the few percent that get this negative attitude over a few bad plays is crazy. He might not be Tom Brady right now but he is good enough for us to win. point to other areas if you want an excuse. But again yes, the Bucs should fear the Cards. Im lookin forward to a big win on Sunday.
