Cardinals play terrible in 17-10 lost to Tampa
The Arizona Cardinals lose to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 17 to 10 in an absolutely awful game. The score can’t describe how bad it really was and either can I, so I’m just going to put this video up and let Jim Mora describe how Arizona played. ( Click here for the video)As you could see by listening to Jim Mora, Arizona couldn’t run the ball, they couldn’t complete a pass, they couldn’t make a first down, they just sucked. The Cards just came off a by week and were very fresh but that seemed to hurt Arizona more than help. Kurt’s rythem still seemed a little affected by his injury and it didn’t help that Jeherme Urban can’t catch a ball. The offensive line was terrible which was part of the reason Edge got no carries and no yards. Boldin didn’t get many chances to do anything and Fitzgerald ran out of bounce by accident on the one big play of the game for Arizona.
The defense couldn’t stop Tampa’s Earnest Graham who had 124 yards rushing. The Bucs completed just about every 3rd down and couldn’t force a turnover. Every defense needs to make plays for their team to win and Arizona doesn’t do that. Yes, the referees blew that call at the end of the game and messed up on a few others but that did not determine the outcome of the game. Arizona was just terrible in every aspect of the game.
I’m going to write another post later this week dedicated to the people who didn’t want the Cardinals to draft Adrian Peterson. Peterson just set an NFL record with 296 rushing yards against the leagues best defense. On the other side of things Levi Brown was a back up OT today. If you want to try and debate me on the Peterson/Brown draft pick you will lose. Not because I’m smart, (because I’m really not) just because you would be dumb. Peterson is on pace for over 2000 yards in his rookie season, and that’s that.
The Cardinals are playing against Detroit Lions next week at home. This turns into a must win game for the 3-5 Cards.

Time of possession was 43 to 13 minutes. When you consider the winning team scored only 17 points here’s what I think: 9 carries by James does not equal a legitimate effort to establish the run when the winning team scores 17 points in 43 possession minutes. I hate Warner. Hate him. He will check off to the pass forever. There will never ever be any run game established with him. Ever. I hate him, and five years ago I thought he was the best NFL story ever. Then he lost his mind. Lost it. Wisenhunt MUST take the team back. Slow it down establish the run. Even if a few runs at the outset only get a yard or two. Keep pounding away, and Edge, and the line will dig it out, and we have a chance.

Ha thank you Tom, I appreciate your passion. we’re not inside the huddle so people like you and me can’t see what’s really going on. But common sense says the no huddle is working really well with Kurt so stick with that. The regular offense isn’t doing much. I think I see the opposite, when Warner gets to call his own plays in the no huddle things really start clicking. When Whisenhunt calls them things aren’t as smooth.
The time of possession was ridiculous and I agree the groud game needed to be established a little more. Something we thought we would see a lot of when Whisenhunt and Grimm came to Arizona. hopefully these things are being put into the game plan a little more for next week.

Kurt will be fine if they can get some blocking for him and maybe astablish the run a little bit. Im sick of them quitting on the run in the second half of games. I also agree that Warner should be in the no huddle the whole game

I couldn’t agree with you more Craig. I hope to see a little more no huddle. Look for Edge to get more carries this week.
