Population in Perfectville remains at one
This morning on ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown, former Dolphins running back, Mercury Morris came as close as he ever has to welcoming another team to Perfectville.
“The population here is one,” Morris said. “At the end of the day, it may be two. Then again, it may not be.”
The New England Patriots were on the ‘72 Dolphins block and they had started moving their furniture in. But before Morris could rent his tuxedo, the New York Giants defeated the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII, 17-14, putting a one in their loss column and denying them access to the land where corks pop, where wine flows like water and where every day is… well… perfect.
Thanks for the gift, New York. We will definitely enjoy it for one more year.

I watched that once, and laughed. Decided to watch it again, just to look it over one more time.
I noticed a very small but funny detail.
On the Giants Couriers truck, did you catch their slogan?
“We Deliver The Best On The Road”
Nice touch!

lest we forget….The Pats went 18 and 0. That’s a record that beats all.
