Boley (Allegedly) Tosses Wife Around
The latest news regarding Michael Boley is heart breaking. He was quickly becoming a dominant force on the defensive side of the ball for the Falcons. Now he’ll be on the defensive side in a Gwinnett County Court House.
Boley has been charged with Battery after police say he tossed his wife, Chantelle, around the living room, into the kitchen , and out the door. According to the police report he then locked the door and that’s when his wife called the police. He has been released on a 1200 dollar bond.
Boley recently signed a one year contract tender for 2 million dollars. He was expected to be offered a long term contract before the end of next season.
With the hiring of Thomas Dimitroff and the off the field issues with Michael Vick, the Falcons have made character a top priority. I’m not sure how a wife beater will fit into their plans as they desperately try to improve the team’s image. I’m not saying Boley did what he’s been accused of but it doesn’t look good.
It will be interesting to see how Dimitroff handles this and what steps will be taken to prevent something similar from happening to anyone on the team. This type of distraction and embarrassment to the team is what we’re trying to move away from. Lets hope everyone on the roster understands that. If you’re hanging with the wrong crowd, or girlfriend, or if you’re beating women up, this is a black eye to the team. Pick your friends or change your ways. I don’t think the Falcons will tolerate these types of headlines.

Uugh, can we get a break? If he is found guilty it is quite possible that TD, Blank, and Smith will have to stand by their words and at least punish this guy.
Lets wait and see both sides of the story before we dump on the guy but I agree Jason, it doesnt look good.

Boley is/was probably my favorite player on the team. I really hope this is some kind of misunderstanding, but who am I kidding. I don’t think our FO is joking around about player conduct.

Bull-crap, after reading the incident reports, sounds like a new bride trying to get rich in a hurry. I know that if an NFL linebacker with the strength of Boley threw me around the living room, the kitchen and out through a door, I would have alot more physical damage than one bruise. Let’s all find and NFL player, accuse him of something, and threaten him with destroying his career OR he can give us millions of dollars and we will drop the charges.
Lets see how this plays out in hte end and what it really costs Boley’s bank account???
Note: NFL players should ALL stay celebate until their careers finish if they want to keep their paychecks. Get rid of the broads and the bimbos, play football and stay locked in a mens only gym during the offseason.

To Realistic Fan - Perhaps you should check your facts before YOU start making accusations. The Boleys have been together for over three years and married for two years - hence, she is not a new bride. They have a child together and she has cared of his other children since they were married. Further, even an NFL linebacker is capable of pushing someone around without having to use all his strength. Finally, if you knew anything about checking facts before making erroneous statements, you would know that in Georgia the authorities decide whether or not to file charges and whether or not to drop charges. Boley’s wife has no say in the matter.
