Tiki Barber Planning a “Tell-All” Book?

Could former Giants running back Tiki Barber really be thinking about breaking the most important unwritten rule in sports? It’s common knowledge that what happens in the locker room, stays in the locker room — but is looks like Barber is choosing to ignore that motto.

Apparently, Barber is planning a tell-all book detailing “what is really going on behind the scenes in those steamy, sweaty locker rooms,” according to gossip all-star Cindy Adams.

By the end of his career, Barber was known for shooting off his mouth — in fact, he had no problems throwing his coach/teammates under the bus, so this shouldn’t come as a surprise. Barber backed out of the game and never thought twice about it. He became fixated on his post-NFL career and wanted to be the media.

Now he, like Jose Canseco before him, plans to air out the dirty laundry. Will his book make the NFL look as bad as Canseco’s did the MLB? That remains to be seen, but I can assure you that there are a lot of New York Giants fearing that there personal lives are about to be exposed.

And truthfully, this kind of news is depressing. What happened to you, Tiki Barber?

I was actually glad that Canseco wrote his book, even though he looked like he did it all for the money at the time, he still put the spotlight on Selig to do something…and things have changed, a little bit, because of it.

As for Tiki, grrr…I’m getting SO freaking tired of him wanting the spotlight with everything. He wants people to see and hear him so he gets his radio station and now has his news job.

So after all that he’s going to become a rat and squeal on people? Way to have a little class, Tiki…I’m getting so sick of him, he sounds like a weasel the more you think about it…everything is always about him. Coughlin helped create him and he never thanks Coughlin. It’s the Tiki-show, that’s all he cares about. Like him or not, but Eli Manning is the complete opposite…he won’t be a glory hog.

What an a-hole Tiki has become. I used to think he was a class act. All he does these days is throw former coaches and teammates under the bus. He has no respect for anybody but himself. I guess fame went to his head. What a shame.

    Hey Dan

What do you mean what happend to you Tiki?

I’ve been telling you and everybody else that this bald headed stooge is the main reason why this team lacks heart and character. I hated this guy ever since he called out Strahan and not because I like Strahan but because it was none of his business and he should not talk smack when he had just signed a big deal prior to that. This guy is all about himself and all about his career in tv… Everybody told me last year that Tiki was the best and that he is a true Giant and I never thought that he was… I always thought that he was a selfish prick that nobody on the team liked… Now that he is gone this team still has some cancers left… Strahan is one and so is SHockey…..Once this roster is overturn then we can see consistency from this team year in and year out….

  5. Dan Benton says:

    June 24th, 2007 at 10:11 am

Galo - I say that because Tiki wasn’t always like that. It’s been a two-year turn for him.

As for overturning the roster and making them more consistent, that would be a legit point had they not made the playoffs each of the last two seasons. Sadly, that’s the most consistent they’ve been in over a decade.

In fact, since Shockey and Strahan have been on the same team, the Giants have made the playoffs three of the last five years.

Wow you guys have not even read the book yet and your buggin out, relax. None of you know what its gunna have in it,,,I doubt tiki is stupid enough to write a book as controversial as Canseco..Plus the guy still works for the NFL, he will be doing sunday night football on NBC. I dont think he wants the whole NFL hating him ..I do agree that when I saw tiki might write a book already I was like man tiki would you just relax for a minute. Most guys you dont hear from for awhile after they retire. But I guess thats not his style…But you guys are really overreacting..

Tiki Barber is like school in summer, NO CLASS. I can’t believe this guy, if he plans doing something like that he should atleast wait ten years, until most of his ex-teammates are retired. You can’t do that especially to a team who is trying to get organized. I appreciate what he did for the Giants but that doesn’t give him the right to pull stunts like this one.

  13. Dan Benton says:

Robstick - Please detail how I was wrong in my comparison. While I haven’t seen the book, it was explained as “what is really going on behind the scenes in those steamy, sweaty locker rooms.” Which, essentially, is exactly what Canseco did.

You write a book to get sales. So with that said, who really thinks the book is going to be around “Calling wives from the locker room” or “playing cards in the airplane.”

Tiki knows what sells — dirty laundry and drama sell.

One of my friends, who is obviously lax of racial sensitivity, called him an “Uncle Tom” for this. While this is a poor choice of words to describe the disappointmnent in this prima donna, I am starting to resent this guy.

He is turning into a self-entitled, Parisian-esque, fake bourgeois, debutant. Screw you, Tiki Barber. Ride of into the sunset of slow, steady decline that we call retirement. Shut your mouth. I am glad he is vanished from our organization. Once again, screw you, Tiki Barber!

  15. Billy says:

I just hate how Tiki went from being the nice, soft-spoken guy to the guy who loves attention. That’s the only way to describe him now: Attention Whore.

He just has to have attention, it’s all about Tiki now. I loved Tiki when he was here, but it’s going to hurt his image. He’ll start talking about what happened behind CLOSED DOORS during meetings, if anyone on the team didn’t work well together, etc.

Plus he’ll blame Coughlin when he should be kissing Coughlin’s @ss! I’m not a huge Coughlin fan, I respect him, though I don’t think he’s that great of a player’s coach…but like him or not, he MADE Tiki. Tiki was a backup until he got forced into the starting role because of injuries and he only stayed there because Coughlin cured his fumbling problem. I just wish Tiki would be GRATEFUL for once and not act like he did everything on his own.

  16. lampwick says:

    June 24th, 2007 at 11:44 am

Well, we’ll just have to win the Super Bowl for the next three years. That’s the only way we’ll be able to prove that it wasn’t the team holding back Tiki, but Tiki holding back the team.

  17. underdog says:

    June 24th, 2007 at 11:46 am

Dan you are right….what did happen to Tiki?

Perfect example of a primodonna player, who doesn’t care about anyone but himself. After Coughlin FIXED Tiki, tiki turns into a primodonna and bashes the guy who SAVED HIS CAREER.

Now he mgiht air dirty laundry.

Damn Tiki I hardly knew ya………

I say if the book is detrimental to the team then have Tiki BANNED from giants stadium and don’t retire his number.

Dan, you realize you just quoted a “gossip all-star” as your “proof” of the content of Tiki’s as yet unwritten book, right?

Again, as with nearly every article on here, people are reacting to things that haven’t even happened yet because somebody who “knows that dirt sells” has chosen to start a rumor specifically to get people like you riled up. At least wait until Tiki does something wrong before you crucify him for it.

I’m not saying it would surprise me if Tiki does go this route, but it’s completely retarded to convict anybody of anything based on the statements of a gossip columnist whose job is specifically to write inflammatory comments about people regardless of the facts.

I bet you the information she has is nothing more than “Tiki’s writing another book” and “it’s not another children’s book”.

  20. Dan Benton says:

    June 24th, 2007 at 12:22 pm

jfunk - You do realize it’s her job to get those stories, right? Her job isn’t to create the drama and gossip, her job is to find it out and report it.

Not to mention, this kind of thing goes right along with who Tiki has been the last two years.

Whether or not it actually happens remains to be seen. My money would be on Tiki doing it though.

  21. Charlie says:

Exactly Jfunk, all of a sudden gossip monger Cindy Adams has the inside scoop on NFL news. Maybe she knows who Larry Johnson will play for next year too! C’mon guys, you can’t let this possibility of a book throw you into a shark like feeding frenzy. It’s just a way to garner more interest. You would figure living in the media capitol of the world you’d be used to overblown stories that hold no water just to catch your attention. Get a grip and don’t believe every little snippet that you read as gospel.

i’ve gotta say, i’m geeting really tired of Tiki Barber. What a woman. He walks out on the giants, in his prime, forsing the team to among many other issues, deal with losing his talents as a runner, receiver and past protector. He announces his leaving mid-season then proceedes to talk sh*t the entire season. Then he officially leaves to take on a gig as a talking head on such features as new toys, or a token fill in for Al Rocker when he is on vacation. Not to mention, he is generally a fish out of water, smilling alot but saying very lttle. Now he’s going to take his sh*t talking to the printing press. He has quickly gone from one of my favorite Giants all day, to one of the people in this world i hate most.

  24. gianthinker says:

    June 24th, 2007 at 12:47 pm

I’m tired of being p.o.’d over Tiki. I have a different subject.

Dan-I’d love to hear you thoughts on this.

I think we can all agree that with Deihl and Seubert starting this year we’d be in better shape with more depth. Right now our #2 TE position is up in the air. Why not bring in Kyle Turley? He’s a vet who will only be around for a year or two more so Boss doesnt need to feel any sort of way about it. He came in as a TE but started last year at LT and RT for the Chiefs. He’d be a huge bodies good blocking TE for us to step into our #2 role and be an extra depth player at OL incase of injury.
    ————————————————–
Here’s a nice write up on Turley still wanting to play….

Despite rumors that he might retire for good following his unceremonious release by the Kansas City Chiefs earlier this spring, veteran offensive tackle Kyle Turley is ready to give football another try.

Turley, who missed the entire 2004 and 2005 seasons because of a herniated disc and related back woes, but then signed with Kansas City and actually opened the 2006 campaign as the starting left tackle, quietly worked out for Chiefs officials this week, ESPN.com has learned.
And he is ready to audition for other teams, too, if they are interested.

A onetime iron man, Turley appeared in seven games for the Chiefs in 2006 after signing a two-year contract with Kansas City. He was the No. 1 left tackle for the first two games last season, then lost the starting job and suffered through a stretch of injuries, but had a five-game stretch beginning in early November in which he started at right tackle.

Clearly, the eight-year veteran had plenty of rust in 2006 and it didn’t help that he attempted to play with his weight in the 280s. There are tight ends in the NFL bigger than that and the tough-guy Turley was tossed around at times by defensive linemen he would have handled easily in the prime of his career. But Turley, who will turn 32 in September, has built his weight back up and was 302 pounds at his workout in Kansas City this week. And he is said to be motivated to make up for lost time.

People close to Turley, who originally wanted to make his return to the NFL as a tight end, say that he prefers now to sign with a team that will provide him an opportunity to play right tackle, the spot at which he starred for New Orleans (1998-2002) and St. Louis (2003-2004). The former San Diego State star, a first-round pick of the Saints and the seventh overall player selected in the ‘98 draft, was always a natural right tackle because of his blend of power, nastiness and drive-blocking skills.

No word yet as to whether the Chiefs, whose once stable offensive line is suddenly in a state of flux with the retirements of tackle Willie Roaf and guard Will Shields over the past two offseasons, are going to give Turley another shot. The current projected starter at right tackle is veteran Chris Terry, who played well after assuming the starting job last season, but has suffered some off-field problems in the past.

Whether Turley can return to the former of his early career, when he was among the NFL’s most feared and notorious blockers, remains to be seen. But the fact his weight has returned nearly to previous levels, when he typically played at 309 pounds and was able to maul defensive linemen, certainly is a plus.

Having been released by two franchises in two years — the Rams jettisoned him in June 2005 after two years of inactivity and then the Chiefs dispatched him this March — has provided Turley a source for rededicating himself and wanting to prove the skeptics wrong. What he needs now is a team willing to take another chance on him.
    ———————————————–
Normally I’d let a guy like this go. But I’m not calling for him to be brought in to try to start at LT. I’m saying he’d be a solid blocking TE who could also help us if our line got in injury problems. Thoughts?

Is anyone surprised by this? I’ll always love what Tiki was able to do on the field for us, but beyond that, good riddance. IMO, he began to get a bit pompous around the 04 season. His comments and the way he answered questions, I dunno, maybe Im reaching, but it seemed to me like a grandiose attitude was just beneath the surface. This past season it was in full view though, and his pursuit of fame, fortune, and an open microphone is going to alienate many of his fans, if it hasnt already.

    Hey Dan-

You say that we made the playoffs 3 out of the last 5 years. Well in all those 3 years besides the melt down in San Fran was the last 2 Giant playoff teams worthy of anything… THey got shut out at home vs the Panthers and last year they backed into the playoffs with an 8-8 record and got beat again in the first round.. When was the last time this team won a playoff game…. Not since 2000 so in almost 8 years we have no playoff wins… Look at it that way instead of the backing in plan and the loudmouths…. Look at a team like the Eagles… Consistent all the time… They have 1 super bowl appearance but 4 straight NFC title games… I mean we cant even get out of the first round… And all we are known for is talking and calling out coaches and players…

  33. Joe says:

    Galo:

Where was Tiki in those 3 playoff games?

  34. Mr. Pinto says:

    June 24th, 2007 at 2:24 pm

Galo — The Giants are certainly a maddeningly inconsistent team. I think we can all agree that this has been the case ever since the Fassel era. Nobody is happy about this. And the first-round playoff losses aren’t impressive either (though, you gloss over the fact that last year’s Eagles playoff game was a toss-up). But do we REALLY wish we were the Eagles???

When we go and lose in the first round, it hurts, but we at least get a high draft pick. I’d rather get it over with and draft higher than get to the NFC title game every year and lose, then only make the big show because we bought T.O., whose presence killed them and has had after effects that have screwed up the team for at least 2 subsequent years. The Eagles aren’t exactly KNOWN for success at this point: hence the utter lack of championships. They’re the very, very poor man’s Bills from the late 80s-early 90s. Which is to say, nothing special.

We all want the Giants to step it up. But I will not compare them unfavorably to those losers in Philly and their fat loser coach.

  35. Dan Benton says:

    June 24th, 2007 at 2:32 pm

Galo - But how is any of that Strahan or Shockey’s fault? My point was that they’ve been good enough to get there three of the last five years. Did those three times suck? Yes, but it’s like the lotto — gotta be in it, to win it.

I’d prefer them make the playoffs and lose, rather than not making them at all. And the reality is, Shockey and Strahan help them get there.

  36. Joe says:

    June 24th, 2007 at 2:41 pm

In addition, Galo, your comparison to the Eagles is contradictory in that a certain loudmouth got them to the Super Bowl. And it’s funny how I always see their not-so-quet quarterback involved in drama as well.

I’ll remind you that Strahan is a 1st ballot Hall of Famer, and will likely break the best defensive player of all time’s team sack record in the beginning of this season (official sack count in the early 80s aside, my point is clear). I’ll also remind you that this team’s record with Strahan not in the starting lineup over the past 3 years is horrendous. I guess he really is a bad guy to have lining up every Sunday.

I could care less about the book, Tiki Barber was a cancer to this team. Sure Shockey said “we were outplayed AND outcoached,” god forbid saying that it was an entire team that lost, not just the players. And also, god forbid he wants the damn ball. Keyshawn Johnson wrote a book on the subject, and he’s got a ring.

My point is, young players always make mistakes. Shockey has certainly made plenty of them. But 32 year old veterans who don’t shut up are clearly in it for themselves. I certainly doubt you’ll ever hear Shockey say he’s retiring because he’s sore 3 days after a game…

I think everyone’s being too hard on Tiki. What he said when he “threw coaches and teammates under the bus” was absolutely true. We were being out-coached and we all saw that and we were all expressing that. We were all frustrated with how the past 2 seasons have gone and we all said something about it. Why can’t Tiki? It’s not like he unleashed some big secret or anything, he was just speaking the truth.

Tiki was the greatest RB the Giants have ever seen and he’s responsible for most of our success the past couple of years. How about everyone stops being a hypocrite and “throwing him under the bus.”

  55. gman24 says:

    June 24th, 2007 at 5:39 pm

sorry, but if samules is up for a trade then the giants should make every attemp to get this man, with him in the back field, it will make this team that much better, maybe trying to get him for 3 years. this is somthing i doubt will happen but if possable we should try

  56. gman24 says:

    June 24th, 2007 at 5:45 pm

granted the whole tiki thing is out of hand and if he loves this team and the city he wouldnt open his mouth. and plus the topic of being out coach, granted we were but it was somthing that everyone know and he only stated that to make his bad play understandable, im glade that tiki is gone and couldnt be more happy and now we have the biggest RB in the game starting for us. so here is to a new begining

  57. Winston says:

    June 24th, 2007 at 6:18 pm

Tiki played like a hall of famer but he certainly doesn’t act like one.

  58. Joe says:

    June 24th, 2007 at 6:18 pm

A man who “leaves on his own terms” will never be received well in the public’s eye. Not that it matters one bit to him, but with leaving after running for 1600 yards and running his lip the entire way out, he has himself to blame.

Troy, “throwing someone under the bus”, albeit a slang phrase, must mean something completely different to me than it does to you. Typically, the way I take it, you “throw someone under the bus” in an act to place blame onto someone else for a failure that you are in fact partially to blame for. Such as a player saying “we wouldn’t have won the game if he hadn’t fumbled the ball.” With that said, we are all pointing the finger at Tiki Barber for being a loud mouth, me-first football player, and we’re all in the third party.

So, no, we’re not being hypocritical. Yes he was a fantastic running back, yes we will have a hard time replacing him between the chalk. But it’s a team game, you can’t say he’s responsible for most of our success Why not give Burress credit, since he’s been in the playoffs every year he’s been here? And, I shouldn’t have to remind you that Tiki was never considered an elite back until Coughlin came to town and changed the way he ran with the ball.

Finally, you ask “why can’t Tiki [say something about it]?” Well, he’s supposed to be a leader on the team. Strange thing about this team and this city, everyone wants to bash Eli for not being a leader, but has he ever caused needless drama with his mouth? His lame duck throws yes, but never takes his frustration out in the media. I’m sure he’d love to, but he doesn’t. Why? Because he’s clearly got more leadership qualities than Tiki; or, Tiki doesn’t care about the concept of “team”; or both.

Bottom line, as a Giants fan, I would have a hard time voting the guy into Canton, with his 2 Pro Bowls.

As far as Samuel, I would be a kid on Christmas if he came to New Jersey, but let’s be real. An aging Madison, and Webster who hasn’t proved anything, for him? New England isn’t considered one of the best teams of our era for making moves like this. But if Jerry Reese could pull that heist off, that would be fantastic.

  59. gianthinker says:

    June 24th, 2007 at 7:53 pm

Honestly, after the draft…now I dont want Samuels. Now I’m happy we have two older guys like Madison and McQuarters because we have young studs in Ross, Underwood and Dockery and Webster who could be a stud if he plays in press coverage like LSU. Now he’ll get his chance. If those guys are ever going to take over as the future starters we need guys who will move out of those rolls so McQuarters and Madison are important to us as our young guys learn how to play in the NFL.

All thisTiki bashing…Who know’s what he will write and who cares. Many other retired players wrote biogarphy’s. LT wrote one. Are you pissed off at him. He also crossed the picket lines during the players strike. So that means that he wasn’t a “team player.” Tiki was the best running back the Giants ever had. Now your blamming him for everything that went wrong since we got blown out of the Super Bowl. Find something posative to write about instead of this bullshit.

  61. underdog says:

Tiki you are just digging yourself a hole that you wont be able to get out of.

the great ones never do this crap, and the great ones never abandon the team.

LT left because his body was done, and when he did leave, he wrote a NICE book, retelling about how great his teamates AND COACH were.

  62. Big Al says:

    June 24th, 2007 at 9:30 pm

its more and more obvious now, that tiki was a cancer to the team in the locker room. he was a great palyer fou us, but he is going to quickly tarnish his football legacy by being a RAT and telling things that should be kept among the players. This guy has a real high opinion of himself and now that he walked away in his prime, stay away and leave the private stories.. private !! Very disappointed in his off field tyraids

  63. Big Al says:

Mike G-I agree fully with what you just said. This is why I find comming on the Giants part of this website hilarious. This kid here giantthinker calls guys like Webster, Ross, and Underwood “studs”. But like what Mike G said, Ross has yet to ever play 1 NFL snap-Webster has been terrible his tenure while in the league-and Underwood has never set foot on an NFL field. Besides what gianthinker previously said, I saw Giants fans saying other BS. Ive seen Brandon Jacobs getting annouinted as the next Jim Brown. Ive also seen Steve Smith getting compared to Isaac Bruce and Marvin Harrison. LOL you guys make me laugh. Anyways go Dallas Cowboys!! 2007 NFC East Champions and eventually Super Bowl Champions!!

I’m gonna enjoy watching Giants kick the cowgirls ass this year. G-MEN!!!!

  68. gianthinker says:

    June 24th, 2007 at 10:46 pm

Mike G-Do you watch football? Webster was a stud as a rookie and had a injury filled season of playing zone as a press corner. Underwood is very talented if you watched him in college and watched film of him at camp. Ross is a top 20 selection. Dockery was one of our best CBs last year. Those are 4 young up and coming CBs none of which have the pressure of having to start. I said stud, not probowlers. They are studs because they have promise to start. They are studs because we are changing from a zone secondary to a man secondary and these guys are man CBs. Young studs are young guys there to learn and step into the starting roles in the future. Probowlers, since thats how you’re interpreting my ’stud’ label, are starters who dont lose their jobs. Madison and McQuarters can hold it down this year and then the young guys can take over. Learn football before you talk ish.

…And “This kid here giantthinker”, which is gianthinker with one T thank you, is probably older than you and has forgotten more about football than you’ll ever know. I’ve played championship high school ball. Played college ball and I’ve coached high school ball. Please…….

Im late as usual, being in california and all, but I will throw in my 2 cents anyway (as usual).
I’m not really sure what exactly will be in that book, but im not joining in on the public flogging of one of the greatest players in giants history, just yet. First lets see whats in the book, then fling judgements. People are coming out now saying that they’ve always known tiki was a bastard and whatever, but what, he voiced his anger about strahan’s contract demands, and about the play calling and coaching, oh maaaan… he’s such a horrible person. I agreed with his opinion of the coaching and i was glad someone on the team spoke out about it. If he says a bunch of bad crap about the persistent cough and other coaches, or about the seedy world of nfl management and front office personnel in his book, I wouldnt be sshocked by what I will probably read.(remember the texans passing on reggie bush?) if he starts naming peoples’ involvement in drug parties and cheating on thier wives and steroids and all that about his former nfl’ers, then yes, I will be dissappointed. Its already hard enough being a fan trying to drown out all the other inconsistensies in the league, the ref’s, the agents greed, etc etc without finding out my team is a bunch of dirtbags on gameday. but again lets wait for the book.

I agree with Shawn. The best running back the Giants have ever had. He played his butt off. If you are a fan of the team then you care about his performance on the field, you don’t have to love his personality. If Tiki was such a distraction to the team then they should have gotten rid of him. To blame him for everything that went wrong for the last several years is the stupidest thing I ever heard.
LT was the biggest a-hole off the field, but he is idalized because he was a great player.

  82. gianthinker says:

Fitz-Talent wise Samuel is great. Would he be a welcome addition? Yes. Money wise he’d be way out of our price range and kill our salary cap. Plus like I said we have young guys who will step in as soon as next year that we already have on contract and are much cheaper. Thats why we dont want Samuel. If this was Madden, yeah, you take him right away. But You want to send two 1st RD picks AND pay a boat load of money to him? I dont. And I’ll stick to that.

I said it way back when Tiki critcized the play calling (and his quote,” Fox outcoached Coughlin”) after the Carolina playoff game;He was insubordinate.Anytime a player can get away with criticizing his coach in the press that coach will never have the authority with his team.Coughlin shouldn’t have showed Tiki on film how he was right with the playcalling. He should have unilaterally fined and suspended him for one game the following season.
That way it would have stopped Shockey, Burress and anyother player from mouthing off. From the moment Coughlin let Tiki get away with criticizing him in the press he became a lameduck coach.POWERLESS!!!
Coughlin has the rep as a no nonsense disiplinarian, but he blew the biggest moment, which will mark his legacy as a coach with the Giants.
Tiki was an ungrateful selfcentered player and now he is a media person with his own agenda;who cannot be objective in his reporting. He should FOREVER be barred from the Giant locker room, media room and press confrences. He is a CREEP!!!

  85. tom c. says:

    June 25th, 2007 at 2:19 pm

bbwc…From what you posted I guess you are saying that we weren’t outcoached by Carolina? Is it possible for Coughlin to justify that coaching performance?

I winced when Tiki made the comment about being outcoached, but not because I didn’t think so, just that it seemed like something better left unsaid outside the locker room. Even though I don’t like Coughlin I felt bad for him.

I guess I do think less of Tiki because of the comments. But I don’t think you can blame Tiki for Coughlin becomming a lame duck coach. He did that to himself by not replacing some of his coaches before it was too late. In the end the front office made him the lame duck that he is, and they didn’t do it because of what Tiki said.

For those thinking, Tiki hasn’t written the book yet, guess again. Here’s the cover from Amazon:

We’re talking the same language.Whether Coughlin was successful was up to him.Tiki undermined the entire team structure by taking it to the press.I am old school; if an employee of mine has a gripe I will listen and be fair and try to resolve it.If they deal with it in any other fashion but up front man to man( no matter how valuable to the firm they are)they are gone.
When someone opens their yap inappropriately it cannot be ignored. If it is,you set a precident of disorganization regardless of what type of company you run.
Football players, today, are very much like children they are testing their boundries.Tiki got away with that and knew he was in control and I for one am glad he is gone. Now if he would only Shut UP

Okay people, let he who did not agree with tiki after the carolina debacle cast the first stone. Foxy WAS in the huddle. Giants coaches literally were lost and didnt know what to do, ESPECIALLY in the passing game. The players run the plays that are called and the panthers ran thier plays too.

again, can we just wait for the book?

  90. Stu. H. says:

    June 25th, 2007 at 9:34 pm

Guard 53: I don’t see where Tiki threw the entire team under the bus. Because he spoke the truth. As for the coaching staff the offensive and defensive co-ordinators got fired and Tom the great disciplinarian had a team that made the same stupid misstakes over and over again, they where totally undisciplined. Who knows if Shockey and Plax would have shut up if they made an example of Tiki. Do you see what has happened to a lot of these veteran players that are down and out and get no help from the league or the players association. These guys get the crap kicked out of them playing football, it takes it’s toll on them. Barber is bright and articulate and I see nothing wrong with him promoting himself. It’s his future not ours. Was everyone jumping all over him when he was running for 200 yards? I doubt it.

Not really looking forward to his book what happens in the locker room or internally on a team should stay that way anyone with any class at all would not break that rule.
