G101 Weekly Picks: Championship Weekend
Finally, the NFC/AFC Championship Weekend is upon us. This is the game we have looked forward to all season long, and most fans did not see this team even dreaming about entering the playoffs, let alone the NFC Championship game. The Giants have a daunting task in front of them, coupled with unfavorable weather conditions, but do not count Eli & Co. out just yet. Most scribes in the area are writing the Giants off already, as are some of the panelists at G101, but a couple of us see something in our Giants that give us a gut feeling they will pull this massive “upset” off. Strahan, Osi, Tuck…go get ‘em!
San Diego will hobble into Foxborough to go to war with the Patriots, but they may be a bit handicapped. Injuries and inconsistent play have dogged this team of late, and this will prove to be an offensive struggle. Simply put, our panel believes that San Diego lacks the firepower to go all out against New England, and we believe there will be a wide margin in the score.
This should be a great weekend, and please take the time to lend your thoughts about our predictions, as well as leave yours.

Currently, 77.9% of MVNers think that the Giants will win this game. I love the confidence and hope I can hear all you guys cheering from my house in TEXAS!!!

They have a fighting shot, anythign can happen. The onyl reason I say that is bc they have plamakers. Nevermind LT, but Merriman, Phillips, Cromarie, and there Dline all make plays…Still pats should win by 2 TDs

The Giants have a punchers chance. With their secondary as beat up as it is I don’t think they can beat Favre and company straight up. But hey that’s why they play the games.
I just hope I can eat some more crow, a tasty dish under circumstances like a win.
